No. Pro is a single $69 purchase. It’s yours forever, with no recurring fees, and it keeps working offline.
Everything in Free with no limits: your entire library past the 1,000-sample cap, plus the audition console, which repitches and time-stretches any preview to your project’s BPM and key. New Pro features are included as they ship.
Every install includes a 14-day full-Pro trial, with no account or card. When it ends, the app stays yours as the Free tier (up to 1,000 samples); unlock Pro anytime to remove the cap.
No account, and it runs fully offline. The only network activity is an optional check for app updates and, if you buy Pro, a one-time license activation. No telemetry; nothing about your library ever leaves your machine.
Everything is a local database on your computer. Your audio files are never moved, copied, renamed, or modified. Organizing is non-destructive.
WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC, and OGG, plus MIDI. MIDI plays through a built-in synth with a piano-roll preview.
Yes. It scans and indexes tens of thousands of samples in the background while you keep browsing.
macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux.
Yes. On the old machine, open Settings and click Deactivate to release your license, then activate on the new one. Deactivating never touches your samples or your trial. If the old machine is lost, dead, or already wiped and you can’t deactivate it there, just email support and we’ll free up your license.
Because it’s instant digital software, sales are generally final, but we’ll consider a refund in limited cases; see the Terms of Service. A refund releases and revokes the Pro license.
Virtual machines often lock down the sandbox the app relies on. Start it once with the --no-sandbox flag (e.g. run “wave-silo --no-sandbox”) and it’ll open right up. Desktop Linux doesn’t need this.
No account required. Choose your platform.
